This shot should be familiar to those LA film buffs. It is a scene where PI J.J. 'Jake' Gittes observes Hollis Mulwray watching water drainage from the valley to the ocean in the opening minutes of Polanski's Chinatown.
Fishing at Legg Lake. I saw one angler catch a monster bass thick in the reeds, hold him firm, take a photograph of the fish, and release that bad boy back into the lake. This picture would make a really good jigsaw puzzle.
This photo, and the next two, is not Photoshoped. I tried to capture the three ridges, starting with the farthest, Mt. Baldy, then San Antonio ridge, and the East Fork mountains because each one was so starkly different in color. Baldy with its snowcaps, San Antonio with its charred ridges, and the closer East Fork with its verdure slopes.
